Be sure to have a big breakfast because Day 1 starts with a long, steady climb up out of Aviemore and into the hills. It's worth the effort though as we reach the summit to discover epic views of the surrounding mountains. With the hardest climb of the day done, we’ll enjoy a long fast descent to the river, getting further into the wilderness as we go. Soak up your surroundings as we follow the river along flowy single and double track trails lined with heather and pine trees. After a lunch stop, we’ll carry on our ride through the forest finishing on some local highlight trails which are guaranteed to leave you smiling! This will be a challenging, but hugely rewarding day in the saddle. Expect to be out for 6-8 hours, we’ll be covering just under 40km with around 900m of elevation gain.
Our second day begins with a scenic pedal through the ancient pine forest, riding past castle ruins and picturesque lochs, getting off the beaten path and into the wild. Be prepared to get your feet wet at the small river crossing as we continue our ride through flowy forest single track and into the valley. Our journey will take us to the River Feshie where dramatic mountain landscapes encircle us. After a lunch stop we’ll wind our way back through the enchanting forest feeling tired and satisfied after two epic days in the wilderness. Day 2’s ride will take 5-7 hours, we’ll cover around 35km with around 500 metres of elevation gain.
